See this dog?
Her name is Hope. Hope was tied up around the neck with electrical wire by 19-year-old Dionte Davis and left to die in the woods. Her trachea was severed, as you can see above, from her struggle. She survived a little while after being rescued, but sadly did not make it. She was, however, alive when the above picture was taken. Nearly decapitated, but still alive.
Can you imagine the pain she felt? Yet even after that, she was still trusting of people. Still friendly, still loving, to her dying day. Such a sweet dog, who, thanks to the cruel actions of a twisted man, met an untimely and inhumane death. What did Hope do to deserve this?
There’s a petition here to give Davis the maximum sentence, along with many others around the web. Please at least look at the page, and reblog to get the word around. Abuse like this deserves the full punishment.

I agree, this is horrible and the person who did this must have some serious mental problems.
BUT I have a major issue with this story. If it is true, why on earth was this photo taken while the dog was still alive???? Pulling her head back like this would certainly be causing her more pain!
I am supportive in using photos to shock people into realising how cruel people can be, but there was absolutely no need to take it while she was still alive!

Say hello to mechanically separated chicken. It’s what all fast-food chicken is made from—things like chicken nuggets and patties. Also, the processed frozen chicken in the stores is made from it.
Basically, the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve—bones, eyes, guts, and all. it comes out looking like this.
There’s more: because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color.
But, hey, at least it tastes good, right?
High five, America!

I had a nightmare last night that some people were attacking my dog and I beat them down with every ounce of strength in me. It was a very strange dream and not one I really want ever again.

As I was flicking through my 26 pages of likes on vimeo searching for inspiration this morning I came across this video. If you’ve got a dog chances are it will make you cry, but it will make you realise how much these little guys are important in our lives. My dog comes and waits outside my door every morning at 7.30am until I let her in. She’ll come and visit my room each night at like 9/10pm to see how I am and just sit below my desk looking at me as if to say ‘you need to stop working soon’. I absolutely dread the day I have to face with her, that is in this video. It’s why I always have a rule. Spend some time with my dog, every day. If you’ve got a dog, are you doing the same? More than likely you will after watching this video.
